It's in my eyes, and it doesn't look that way to me, In my eyes. - Minor Threat
DARBY CRASH band was a short lived band Darby started playing as, when the GERMS were virtually banned from playing anywhere in LA. Darby had also just come back from an extended visit to London in 1980 at around the time Adam and the Ants were blowing up there, before their major label success, and he was inspired by them to put on his own Native American inspired face paints and garb. The Darby Crash band seen here at the Starwood in West Hollywood mid 1980, they played less than a handful of shows, and played Germs songs with different members of the Germs sometimes in the band as well, until they finally decided to just do a GERMS reunion show that would be his last... as the story is known, Darby took his own life just a week or so after that last show. This is a rare color photo of him with the paint and mohawk during that short period. #punk #Darby #GERMS #GI #hollywood #LexiconDevil #MediaBlitz #RichieDaggersCrime #NoGod #CircleOne #WeMustBleed #DarbyCrashBand A post shared by glen E. friedman Ⓥ (@glenefriedman) on Feb 8, 2017 at 3:43pm PST
