S.S. DECONTROL (a.k.a. Society System Decontrol, a.k.a. SSD) SPRINGA on vocals, circa 1982 playing at the infamous Paramount theater. There was a big riot after this show in Staten Island. It was an amazing show. Dead Kennedys, D.O.A. and NY band Kraut were also on the bill. S.S. Decontrol were THE Boston hardcore punk band, one of the greatest bands of the era from the NorthEast. I was good friends with this crew and we got them out to L.A. for at least a couple of big shows i was a part of setting up during the Suicidal Tendencies headlining days. Most obvious show comes to mind was the huge one at The Olympic auditorium, Suicidal headlining, SS DECONTROL, The Minutemen, The Abandoned (a Tony Adolescent band of the moment) with either them or the Red Hot Chili Peppers Opening... Classic shit.
