Banksy Versus Bristol Museum (UK)

This British street artist with an international reputation shows and explains some of his best work.
"If you have a statue in the city centre, you could go past it every day on your way to school and never even notice it, right - but as soon as someone puts a traffic cone on its head, you've made your own sculpture."

“The thing I hate the most about advertising is that it attracts all the bright, creative and ambitious young people, leaving us mainly with the slow and self-obsessed to become our artists. Modern art is a disaster area. Never in the field of human history has so much been used by so many to say so little."

This is a show i'd really like to see...

  1. Arrested Motion has been covering this show for a couple weeks now. Once they put up the show preview, I was salivating. I'd like to go to Bristol more than anything in the world right now to see that show.

There are some people out there who hate on Banksy, because it's popular to like him, but that's on them. The man conjures up ideas others may have never had the imagination or intelligence for.

  2. are you serious? people don't like him because hes unnecessarily offensive, and his art is mediocre. he also just runs around stenciling where he wants without respect for the real street artists in the area. why would you want to respect that kind of bullshit?
