PEGGY OKI @peggy_oki skating the Kenter Canyon School Yard, the year is 1976. Peggy was known as the only girl on the original Zephyr team, and in fact was just as progressive as the "Z-Boys" when compared to other female skaters. Always cool and nice. These days Peggy is an environmental inspiration councilor or warrior if you must, looking out for the planet as well as the sea and it's inhabitants in particular. Kenter was my local spot, my favorite place to skate, first year of 35mm photography, mostly with a borrowed camera. I was there almost all the time once we discovered the urethane wheel and even more so once precision bearings came into play. It's where i met most of the Zephyr team and many others for the first time. My home base without a doubt.
