Early Beastie Boys photo from my Instagram

BEASTIE BOYS circa 1984/5 in Westchester, CA (on the west side of Los Angeles) at the campus of Loyola Marymount university where i brought them to do an interview on KXLU maybe we made these photos while killing time waiting to go on the air, or maybe it was after the show. The interview with on air host ADAM BOMB was monumental and could be found on the internet, maybe even in iTunes “The Final Countdown” may have been the name of the program, it’s fucking hilarious (as they often were). This was their first time out to L.A. and they were there opening for Madonna on her “Like A Virgin” tour... I’ve told stories from these wild few days several times before, so look back if interested. This day was way before they even started working on the first album, they just had “Cookie Puss” and “Rock Hard” 12” singles out at this time, after their punk “Pollywog Stew” 7”EP... . .
